WoowTech KNXD
Start learning KNXD from Home Assistant
You already know how to use Home Assistant, and you do not need prior KNX knowledge. All 22 plain-language chapters are complete. This means only that the documentation is complete; it does not prove live-system results or compatibility.
Plain-language delivery status: The complete 22-chapter plain-language tutorial has been delivered. This means only that the documentation is complete; it does not prove the KNX bus, ETS, Home Assistant integration, group operations, physical control, or local-environment compatibility.
Understand the four roles
Chapter 1 uses a building service-desk analogy to distinguish Home Assistant, ETS, KNXD, and the KNX device network.
System change: Do not modify Home Assistant
Outcome: Distinguish the four roles and understand that a running process does not prove bus operation.
Plain-language delivery status: The complete 22-chapter plain-language tutorial has been delivered. This means only that the documentation is complete; it does not prove the KNX bus, ETS, Home Assistant integration, group operations, physical control, or local-environment compatibility. Interpret this against the currently available chapter content.

Complete eight pre-installation checks
Use Chapter 3 to confirm the installation type, administrative access, backups, immutable build provenance, isolation scope, and stop and restoration responsibilities.
System change: Do not modify Home Assistant; perform only a preflight review without live values.
Outcome: Classify all eight checks and stop whenever the artifact digest is not approved.

Look up unfamiliar KNX terms
Start with an everyday analogy, then read the formal term and its use in this guide.
System change: Look up terminology only; do not modify Home Assistant.
Outcome: Return to the relevant plain-language chapter and continue without first learning the entire protocol.

What the 22-chapter tutorial does not do
This tutorial does not connect to a KNX bus, send telegrams, perform group reads or writes, run ETS programming or downloads, or control physical equipment. Adding a repository, installing, starting, or stopping software requires complete isolated-test conditions, written approval, an approved immutable artifact/image digest, and source-to-build attestation. If any condition is missing, do not add the repository, install, start, or stop anything.
